The Great Mistletoe Challenge!

Introducing the

Fenway Bark Great Mistletoe Challenge!

As a female entrepreneur in the first year of business, I don't get out much.

OK, not at all.

In order to enjoy the holiday season, I need to bring joy through my front door at Fenway Bark for my customers, staff, and guests.

Which brings me to the

Fenway Bark Great Mistletoe Challenge!

For each of the local celebrities listed below who come to Fenway Bark and are photographed kissing me on the cheek under the mistletoe between now and Christmas, Fenway Bark will donate $1000 to one of the following charities of the celebrities choice:

1)  MSPCA
2)  Animal Rescue League of Boston
3)  Great Dog Rescue of New England
4)  NEADS - providing service dogs to the deaf and disabled
5)  Fairy Dog Parents

Here is my Great Mistletoe Challenge Christmas list:

Tom Brady
Keith Lockhart
Steven Tyler
Matt Damon
Scott Brown
Curt Schilling
Big Papi
Jack Welsh
Mark Wahlberg
Denis Leary
Steve Carell

So, Fenway Bark fans, use your social media, Rolodex, and contacts to get the word to the 10 Mistletoe Challenge targets on my Christmas list and help generate $10,000 in charitable donations to some very worthy animal welfare organizations.  Don't hold back because you don't know anyone on the list directly.  It is said that everyone knows everyone else in this world by four connections.  Spread the word using your contact list and the word will get to each of them if the Great Mistletoe Challenge is passed on through your networks.  We will publish the pictures on the blog and Facebook for each celebrity who accept the Great Mistetoe Challenge!

The mistletoe is waiting boys.

Ho! Ho! Ho!
Jane

Fenway Bark Partners with Great Dog Rescue New England to Place Dogs in Their Forever Homes

Cocoa
Fenway Bark is proud to share with you that we have partnered with Great Dog Rescue in New England to help adoptable dogs find their forever homes, two at a time.

Landon

Meet Cocoa and Landon, our first foster dogs from Great Dog Rescue New England.  Cocoa and Landon will be living at Fenway Bark starting next week, socializing with our other guests, and learning to be really great dogs for their future families while in our care.

We would be delighted to introduce our foster dogs to potential future families and facilitate the introduction of those families to Great Dog Rescue New England to engage in their placement process.

Are you looking to expand your canine family?  Come to Fenway Bark to meet our foster dogs and potentially make this holiday extra special for a dog needing a new home.

If you know someone who would be interested in meeting Cocoa or Landon, please have them visit Fenway Bark for an introduction!

Evening "day" care - Say what?

Even our most tenured clients have said they aren't aware of our evening care offer at Fenway Bark.  We will take responsibility for not communicating it more because those of you who have tried it, love it!

It works like this:

Drop off your dog at around 6 pm and pick up as late as 11 pm and pay $22 (or one half day of the daycare package you may have in place) and enjoy your evening out without worrying about rushing home to let your pooch out.

  • Do you have a special anniversary, date, or birthday you want to celebrate with a long, leisurely dinner perhaps involving multiple courses of food and adult beverages?  Enjoy it at a nice pace and know that Bella is in good care until you want to pick her up.
  • This service may come in particularly handy as holiday, office, and New Year's parties are planned and RSVPs are being contemplated at the kitchen table.  And although we are asked frequently about it, no we don't sit children too!  Thanks for vote of confidence to request care of extended family!
  • Attending a Patriots, Bruins, or Celtics game and don't want to sweat out the traffic or take an early departure to get home to Fido?  Evening care to the rescue!
  • Is an important client in town where taking them out might cinch the deal?  Fenway Bark evening care will take care of Fifi while you tend to your client.
As always, occupancy and health requirements apply.  Call to inquire.

Daycare Reservations

We want to thank each of you who have taken the time to share information about Fenway Bark with your friends, family and co-workers. It is the fabulous word of mouth from satisfied and enthusiastic clients, like yourself, that is allowing us to grow and expand our reputable services to the New England community.

To that end, I want to let you know that we are going to be building out a second large dog daycare group because last week, as well as this coming week, we look to be sold out in large daycare 2 of 5 days a week.  We are blessed to have many happy customers, both two and four legged!

Please make reservations for your dog's care as early as you know your plans so that we can ensure your dog can join us when you need us. Additionally, because the best practice from the American Boarding and Kennel Association is to have, at most, 15 dogs being overseen by one person, we want to make sure we have enough staff on hand to be able to remain compliant to that Gold standard for the safety of our guests and staff.  The other ABKA gold standard we have been compliant with is allowing at least 75 sf/dog on average for play space.  Please find AKC recommendations, too.

If your dogs are registered at Fenway Bark, you can make your reservations by email or by calling our concierge desk at 617-464-4364.  If your dogs are not registered at Fenway Bark for daycare, we encourage you to register soon, have your veterinarian fax records to Fenway Bark at 617-507-8271, and arrange a behavior assessment with our concierge.
